Hinterland of flavours

The hinterland of Romagna is rich in oil mills, mills and wine cellars to visit all year roundwhere you can discover the flavours of this land and buy directly local products. Two are the wines from Romagna most widespread in Italy, from the Sangiovese and Trebbiano vines, the other three (Albana, Pagadebit and Cagnina) are peculiar to the territory of the Province of Forlì-Cesena.

Oil

Among the PDO products in the region

High-quality oilwith renowned organoleptic properties, is produced by the olive groves in the hills of the provinces of Forlì-Cesena and Rimini. It recently obtained the Protected Designation of Origin (D.O.P.) Colline di Romagna. To be purchased from local farms and agritourism companies, such as those associated with the Food and Wine Route.

Discovering the old mills

Dei numerous mills scattered in the hinterland of Romagna, many of them in disuse, a few remain that continue their activity and produce organic wheat and cereal flours. Even today you can still buy organic flours at the Da Sbrulein mill The valley of the Reserve in the Onferno area near the Cave Park.

Rossi Mill

Flour as it used to be

Also in the municipality of Gemmano, the Mulino Rossi is worth a visit. The building complex, mill and dwelling, was built in 1929 by the Rossi family and is still owned by them. It is a stone mill of electrically powered low-milling, forming natural flours rich in fibre.

Perfect hotel for experiencing the Rimini area in a different way. A few kilometres from the coast, in a dominant and quiet position, it is clean, well maintained and has a beautiful swimming pool. A 'quality' stay

I have known this agrihotel for more than a decade and when I can I always return with great pleasure. The mix is perfect: there is a breathtaking view, a cosy swimming pool with a whirlpool corner, clean and spacious rooms, tennis/football court, but what is really the highlight here is the cuisine.
